'Lindy Hop: Intermediate' This class is the continuation class for the Hepcats Beginners-Intermediate class. In this class we will build on your what you learned during your two rounds of Beginners-Intermediate, adding new fun variations while continuing to build confidence, musicality and flow in your basic steps and moves. New steps and combinations are on this level hopefully more a challenge than a threat, and on this level you will begin to adapt your dance to the music and will get quite a respectful catalogue of moves that you can execute successfully on the dance floor. You will learn new and more advanced variations and the tempo will be higher. We look forward to dancing with you!
Minimum level requirement
This class is the continuation class for people who have been through at least 1-2 rounds of Hepcats Beginners' level and 2 rounds of Hepcats Beginners-Intermediate level, or have 15-20 weeks of experience at other swing dance communities. We expect you to be familiar with basic moves like swing out, circle, Charleston and six-count moves. Prior dancing at Hepcats is not a requirement. We welcome all dancers as long as you meet the requirements outlined above.

Write your partners email address in the "with a partner" box when signing up. Please note that your partner must also register separately for the same class and note your email on their order.

Information 'SoloJazz for Beginners with 6+ weeks of LindyHop Experience' Perhaps you’ve learned the Shim Sham and are hungry for more of the same? Perhaps you think it’s time to revisit solo jazz? Perhaps you’re just curious? Anyway: Solo jazz (also known as Authentic Jazz) is a great and fun way to move to jazz and swing music. It also helps you grow as a Lindy hopper and makes partner dancing even more enjoyable. In this class we will work on some of the most basic jazz steps from the swing era and put them together in short and manageable routines. Steps like- Suzy Q

- Fall of the log
- Eagle slide
- Jump charleston.
Minimum level requirement This is a class for total jazz beginners. You do not need any previous experience with solo jazz to join this class, but experience with swing or another dance is expected. We expect you to practice during the week when possible, so that a progression can be seen and felt in your dance - so that you get the most out of our classes. Prior dancing at Hepcats is not a requirement, we welcome all Lindy Hoppers as long as you meet the requirements outlined above.
